Pattern Zero are a Berlin-based independent record label focussed on Techno and Dub Techno solo projects and collaborations.

The label was officially founded in 2024 by Alex Leonard and Erik Levander, but the initial concept was born much earlier. As a result of their shared love of richly textured and atmospheric dub-techno from producers such as Rod Modell, Intrusion, Rhythm & Sound, Fluxion and many more, Alex and Erik began monthly jam sessions sometime in 2020.

Using a hybrid hardware-software setup, the pair would jam out long sessions which they later passed back and forth as they edited the sessions into a series of EPs. More hard-edged pieces ended up in techno/deep-techno vein as Muted Opponent, and the sumptuous atmospheric works became the foundation of Subaqual. These collaborations were joined by Erik's own solo techno project, Paracitizen.

Future collaborations and other solo projects are intended, and you can expect a regular release of EPs and hopefully 12-inches!
